 For this week's beach destination we're taking a fresh look at Benidorm, namely the 5* Full Board Gran Hotel Bali. This is re-nowned for being the tallest hotel in Spain, and one of the few 5* Hotels. The nice thing is that the hotel is not in the noisy Levante area, but at the same time it is very easy to get around the busier areas of Benidorm. It is also close to the fabulous Terra Mitica theme park. There is a lovely market which dates back 1,000 of years, cosmopolitan shops, places where you can sit outside and eat, eateries which do healthy Greek 'fast-food' really cheap.

Some of the original features have been restored and kept in view. In addition, Thessaloniki is less frantic than Athens but equals the Capital on most fronts such as history, restaurants and nightlife.

 We're having some lovely summery weather at the moment and thoughts are turning to summer hols! To start the week we're looking at the Vasia Beach Hotel & Spa which is a family owned hotel and is located in the traditional picturesque village of Sissi on the lovely island of Crete. It has 200 rooms, with beautiful views, there are suites available too. Crete is the largest of the Greek islands, so ots worth taking a trip around the island, in between lazing by the pool or taking advantage of the superb facilities this hotel has to offer. There is an á la carte restaurant, animation/entertainment programmes, a gym to work off those heavy lunches- the Spa is well-equipped with jacuzzi, sauna and massage services. In addition there is a thalassotherapy centre, beauty salon, indoor & outdoor swimming pools, and Turkish baths. We have found that clients booking this hotel are very happy with the value for money aspect, and the facilities of the hotel meet the needs of the most discerning traveller.
